Your Baby Boy Is On His Way To Achieve His Full Development Potential!

6-9 Months Development

At this stage, between the ages 6-9 months, you will notice that your baby is more independent, as he continues to develop balance, crawling on his belly, on his hands-and-knees, develops communication skills, and a better understanding of his surroundings.

This is the first time that your baby can do certain things without completely depending on you. He isn’t constantly being carried, and he can make his own choices in choosing to move away or get closer to us.

What to expect?

At this stage of your baby’s life, he is beginning to understand that he has the ability to reach an object that is close to him through making eye contact, reaching his hand out, and rolling over. The intentional reflexes which entered his body in the previous stage continue to ground themselves at this stage, and we must continue to accompany our baby in the next developmental stages.

At this stage, between the ages 6-9 months, you will notice that your baby is more independent, as he continues to develop balance, movement and further develops his communication skills, and a better understanding of his surroundings through the house, the people in his life etc.

This is the first time that your baby experience independence and he can do certain things without completely depending on you (sorry :) ). The will to crawl comes from the will to move forward. Crawling is the first stage in which your baby can move forward to see what the world has to offer, independently.

The importance of crawling is in the learning of spatial perception, estimation, and the development of hand-eye coordination and arm-hand coordination. It also helps in strengthening the shoulders, and of course, using feet for movement.

Every baby has his own development pace, and it is important that we as parents help our babies pave their own path, and encourage them to overcome the different developmental obstacles, in order to realize the developmental potential within them.

Each stage is built on the previous one. Your baby must complete each stage in her development. Therefore it is important to continue guiding him and instilling a solid developmental base, which will lead him through to the next developmental stages.
